You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the DC COMBAT DEVELOPMENT & INTEGRATION/ CGMCCDC of MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD.

Duties

Help

• You will analyze, coordinate, and recommend proposals and revisions to Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON)/Marine Corps (MC)/Command security initiatives and policies.
• You will lead, guide, and mentor the command's Department Heads on security principles.
• You will develop requirements, plans, and implementation strategies, including certification and accreditation plans, for all wargames executed at the Marine Corps Wargaming and Analysis Center (MCWAC).
• You will meet strict and at times short deadlines, establish priorities, and assist in general security management.
• You will provide expertise and monitors established security management and security policies ensuring that the standards for the safeguarding of classified material are adhered to
• You will plan regular security education sessions, including indoctrination, special and refresher briefings and debriefings upon termination of service, employment or inadvertent disclosure.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is designated as a Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) position with a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) requirement.
• The incumbent must obtain certification within 24 months of assuming the position. SPeD certification/s must be maintained and undergo renewal process every two years in accordance with SECNAVINST 5500.38

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing security-related equities for a large organization across multiple domains, leading a high-functioning team of professionals working across personnel, physical, industrial, and informational security disciplines, and briefing highly complex and sensitive topics to senior-level leadership.
