Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator

Mission Health in Asheville, NC seeks an Oncology Clinical Nurse Coordinator to deliver and coordinate compassionate, evidence-based care for oncology patients within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will manage treatment plans, administer therapies, educate patients and families, and support safe transitions across the continuum of care. Working in a highly collaborative, patient-centered environment, this role partners closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team while mentoring staff and contributing to quality and process-improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee oncology patient care plans across the continuum Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of oncology patients Administer chemotherapy and related therapies safely and per protocol Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes Support discharge planning and care transitions, including referrals and follow-up Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHR Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff Uphold regulatory, safety, and infection-prevention standards Key Skills Oncology nursing Chemotherapy administration Patient assessment Care coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) Symptom management Oncology patient education Interdisciplinary collaboration Care planning Clinical documentation Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Active RN license (NC or compact) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
