Responsibilities Interpret project plans and specifications for compliance with project requirements Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and results Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications Interact with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites Work outdoors in all weather conditions Complete soils inspections, including Earthwork operations such as placement and compaction of structural fill, utility trench backfill, subgrade preparation, and excavation; identify and verify the use of approved materials, moisture-conditioning, lift thicknesses and degree of compaction during placement of fill; sampling and testing of compacted fill materials Complete concrete inspections, including concrete pre-placement inspections (reinforcing steel installation, prestressing, formwork, embeds) and post-placement inspections (surface finish, repairs, construction joint preparation, curing) Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to work on federal military installation sites Valid Driver’s License Must pass background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company\'s driving (MVR) policy Strong written and verbal communication skills Certifications/Licenses At least one of the following requirements must be met for this position: PCI Quality Control Technician/ Inspector Level II Certificate ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certificate ICC Pre-stressed Special Inspector Certificate Experience with reinforced and pre-stressed concrete Equal Opportunity We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
