Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.As a Lead Credit Officer Vice President on the Commercial and Investment Bank Credit Risk team, you will apply your analytical abilities and credit industry knowledge to make informed credit decisions for a client portfolio within the Diversified Industries sector. You partner with the business line to fulfill client credit requests while maintaining a balance between risk and return for the firm. You develop forward-looking risk assessments, recommend appropriate credit structures, and proactively manage portfolio quality while leading a team of credit professionals. You help us anticipate emerging risks and deliver sound, defensible credit judgment.Job responsibilities:Identify key risk factors across clients, transactions, and industry sub-sectors and develop forward-looking risk assessments of companies, transactions, competitive threats, and industry dynamicsLead or participate in client due diligence through client, bank, and other meetings, using financial models to assess the impact of risk on key value drivers and recommend appropriate credit structuresApply corporate finance and accounting expertise to develop financing structures and prepare and review credit approval materials in line with policyReview and negotiate legal documentation, including credit agreements and ISDAs, to ensure terms align with credit approvalAssess client creditworthiness and assign appropriate credit ratingsMaintain accurate, current risk ratings and proactively identify and manage deteriorating credits and problem situationsPrepare and present quarterly financial snapshots of the Diversified Industries portfolio and annual portfolio review materials to senior managementSupport training and development of analysts and partner with middle office and data teams to ensure credit system data accuracyManage a team of six to eight associates or senior associatesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Bachelor's degree7 plus years of commercial or investment banking lending experience, including extensive credit analysis, structuring, and marketingSolid understanding of financial products, corporate finance, financial modeling, and market dynamicsAdvanced knowledge of financial statements and accountingExperience with credit agreement documentationHigh proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordKnowledge of derivative products and documentation, including ISDA and Credit Support Annex (CSA)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to present analysis effectively and interact with key stakeholdersAbility to perform client due diligence and support negotiationManagement experience, including leading and developing team membersPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Master of Business AdministrationRole subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, with offer contingent on review of criminal conviction historyAbout UsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
