Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 48 Hours Guaranteed per Week Preferred | 4 Weekend Shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per 4-Week Period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform and manage PIV insertion/removal, central line management, Foley catheter insertion/management/removal, and NG tube insertion/management/removal
• Manage chest tubes, drains, continuous bladder irrigation, wound care, and ostomy management
• Perform and interpret EKGs; apply basic dysrhythmia recognition in patient care decisions
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps, Hoyer/Sara Steady lifts, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, and vein finder
• Document and manage patient information using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Kansas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of prior inpatient acute care experience
• Basic dysrhythmia recognition skills required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a trauma center setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and virtual admission RN workflows
