Engineering Associate Manager, Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking an Engineering Associate Manager to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral, FL and expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time. Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position. What does this role look like? You will lead a team of software and electrical engineers through the development and sustainment of multiple test equipment items within the FBM portfolio. You should have strong skills in design and sustainment including troubleshooting of technical issues as well as proposing and executing design improvements. The position may require domestic travel to support Naval operations or any of the many manufacturing sites that utilize our support equipment. Key activities you will accomplish in this role: As the functional leader of the team, you will be responsible for staffing projects, mentoring in technical problem solving, providing training, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, and performance management. To be effective in this role, you will need: Strong technical background in hardware and/or software development across the product lifecycle 7+ years professional experience US Citizenship and Top Secret clearance (required) Basic Qualifications: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, and fluent in agile program management tools and techniques, with a focus on balancing cost, schedule and technical requirements. Strong technical background with experience in integrated test consoles / automated test equipment. Extensive troubleshooting experience analyzing failure modes in test equipment, with cost effective solutioning. Technical Lead experience guiding multidisciplinary technical teams through project lifecycles including milestones adherence. Desired Skills: Experience developing and/or sustaining Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Proposal development experience including cost estimating Analog, Digital, and/or RF design experience Software development experience Demonstrated experience in mentoring and team development Experience working Naval contracts Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
