Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as an itinerant Special Education Teacher within the SPED discipline, working full-time on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This role will have you supporting a mild/moderate caseload of approximately 22-23 students, split between two school sites in the Calabasas area on alternating days. You’ll play a key part in fostering inclusive learning environments while helping students achieve their goals.

What You’ll Bring:

• Active California mild/moderate Special Education teaching credentials (required)
• Experience working with elementary school-age children with varying abilities
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, development, and implementation
• Ability to travel between two local school sites as part of a weekly schedule
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with families, staff, and students
• Organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain accurate records

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality special education instruction to elementary students with mild to moderate needs
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to support student inclusion and progress
• Conduct required assessments, track student progress, and provide timely updates to all stakeholders
• Create a positive, supportive, and responsive classroom culture
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
