Network Engineer IV

Job Description:

* Design build and rollout our global DWDM networks
* Drive scaling designs to meet the demand of our customers
* Create processes that help operate and build our optical network
* Work closely with other Networking teams
* Evaluate new products and drive commercial tender process
* Ensure that the optical network adheres to the defined network standards
* Review and implement changes on the optical systems
* Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability
* Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network.


Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree
* Minimum of 7 years industry experience
* Experience with optical planning modelling tools and rollout of large DWDM networks
* Expertise IP networking fundamentals and IP protocols
* In-depth knowledge of and experience with major DWDM platforms Ciena Infinera and Cisco
* In-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms Cisco and Juniper including compatible supervisory and line cards for these platforms
* In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols specifically BGP and OSPF
* Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
* Candidates should also have had significant past experience with and expertise in many of the following protocols technologies: DWDM T1/DS1 DS3 SONET OC3 OC48 802.2/3 802.1d VLANs/STP IPv4 IPv6 TCP internals flow control BGP OSPF HSRP/GLBP PIMv2 IGMP LDP TACACS IPSEC VPNs netflow DNS
*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
