Manager- Deal Services (Transaction Advisory)

Overview A Manager, Deal Services will deliver Quality of Earnings, due diligence, and mergers & acquisitions consulting services, build relationships with clients, and mentor staff. Responsibilities Engage clients in an advisory/consulting capacity to address transaction issues with other advisors. Perform technical reviews of associate and senior associate work, focusing on quality, risk avoidance, and total client service. Leverage CLA’s industry and service capabilities to identify opportunities for seamless client service. Lead client calls, review work, and provide transaction deal services. Support multiple client engagements of varying size and complexity, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget. Communicate progress, results, and engagement status to clients and principals. Proactively gather information from clients and advisors to ensure timely engagement wrap‑up. Analyze complex areas/transactions and prepare Quality of Earnings and related reports. Demonstrate leadership on engagement management, operational excellence, and establish authority with the team. Maintain high utilization and contribute to regional profitability. Support business development, expand relationships, and provide high‑value expert partnership. Qualifications Minimum six years of experience in a large professional services, public accounting or equivalent firm. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. Currently working toward CFA, CPA or other relevant certification. General knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and financial reporting. Strong business writing and communication skills. Proficiency with internal software systems (Pfx Fixed Assets, Pfx Engagement, CCH Access Tax, XCM, etc.). Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office products. Experience managing and mentoring staff on Quality of Earnings engagements. Familiarity with quality of earnings reviews and deal services. Willingness to travel locally for client sites; occasional non‑local or overnight travel as required. Compensation California: $124,100 – $209,000 per year.
