2026-2027 School Year - San Bernardino, CA - 30 hrs/week - $25/hr - 1-Year Contract
Position Overview
San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) is seeking qualified Behavioral Technicians for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role supports students with behavioral needs across a large, diverse public school district serving more than 45,000 students, including 8,000 in special education.
Candidates should be confident working in school environments, skilled in collaboration, and comfortable supporting students, staff, and district teams in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
Support behavior intervention services within assigned school sites
Assist with implementing and monitoring IEP goals
Collect and maintain accurate behavioral data
Conduct fidelity checks to ensure interventions and plans are implemented correctly
Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in meetings, including high-profile or legally involved meetings, when needed
Utilize district systems such as Aeries and SEAS
Adapt effectively to challenging or unique student and classroom situations

Minimum Requirements
Prior school-based experience required
Ability to write IEP goals
Strong clinical and behavioral intervention skills
Proficiency with Aeries and SEAS
Strong interpersonal, communication, and soft-skills competency
Ability to adapt to resistant or complex situations
Confidence participating in high-level meetings
Bilingual candidates preferred
