Senior Claims Examiner - New York Labor Law

LE003 Coaction Specialty Management Company, Inc.

Responsibilities Provide expert claim handling in areas of coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex third‑party bodily injury and property damage claims. Comply with best practices in claims handling by timely investigating and evaluating liability and damages. Analyze policies and review relevant contracts to explore risk transfer strategies and priority of coverage. Draft appropriate coverage position letters. Set timely indemnity reserves after conducting thorough investigation and evaluation on liability and damages. Proactively negotiate claims toward resolution. Manage expense reserves and engage in resolution strategies to obtain cost‑effective results. Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers and timely advise underwriting of various losses. May be called upon to perform other tasks and duties within the claims department as dictated by business needs. Qualifications NYLL Claims experience required. Solid planning & organizational skills including time‑management and prioritization. Five to seven years of claims handling experience, primarily handling general liability claims preferred. Must be willing to obtain adjuster’s license in all states requiring licensure. Must be willing to occasionally travel. Compensation and Benefits Salary range specific to for this role: $90,000-$140,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
