Dr. Tina Shah for Congress is seeking an enthusiastic manager and campaign strategist to serve as Campaign Intern for a highly competitive, battleground 2026 House race. Preferred start date by April 27, 2026.

About Dr. Tina Shah: Dr. Tina Shah is an ICU physician who has fought and won against a healthcare system that is designed to make patients broke and sicker, prioritize insurance companies' profits above all else, and burn out a workforce trying to save lives. Tina is running for Congress to stand up to Donald Trump and Tom Kean Jr. as they gut our healthcare and undermine lifesaving medical research. In Congress, she will fight against Trump and Kean Jr.'s Medicaid cuts that give tax breaks to billionaires, and fight for the right to an abortion and the restoration of science and sanity in Washington.

About NJ-07: The path to flipping the House and regaining a Democratic majority runs through NJ-07, and independent election analysts agree that Kean Jr. is highly vulnerable: The Center for Politics rates NJ-07 as one of the only "toss-up" Congressional races in the country. Large national groups have identified NJ-07 as a top pickup opportunity, already targeted by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and House Majority PAC. In a district where almost a third of registered voters are Independents, Tina represents a steadying, trustworthy presence to not just turn out Democrats, but to persuade Independents and Republicans to support her candidacy as well.

Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to assist with the field and finance aspects of Dr. Tina Shah for Congress' Campaign. Each intern should expect to help build our volunteer base while reporting to team members. Interns will gain first-hand experience and exposure to political campaigning at the local level and will leave the campaign having made lasting connections and learning lifelong skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in coordinating events
• Recruit and train volunteers to participate in the political process
• Cultivate local relationships
• Assist with the field program and community outreach
• Learn and utilize canvassing and phone banking skills within the district
• Commitment to work about 25-30 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Attending a 4-year college or university
• An interest in politics or political campaigns is highly desired
• Not required, but preferred to have a driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to meet new people

Location: Scotch Plains, New Jersey

Compensation: $18/Hour
