Job Type: Travel Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6 PM - 6 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience required License: RRT Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, CRT or NBRC preferred Must-Have: Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital RRT experience BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications CRT or NBRC credentialing Description: Number of beds: 240-bed facility Number of staff: 15 RT staff Type of staffing during the night shift: Minimum staffing of 3 Patient ratios: 30-40 patients average per shift Equipment typically used: PB 840 ventilators in ICU Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech Typical procedures performed include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, conducting ABGs, and providing patient and staff education. RT therapies include ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and MED SURG. Best personality fit: Team player with a collaborative mindset. Flexible scheduling is available. RT plays a key role in critical care settings in terms of therapy and ventilator liberation. Autonomy is required in clinical decision-making.
