Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) Des Moines, IA, United States | req29876 What you will enjoy doing Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up. Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations. Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance. Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs. Continuously build knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help the organization continue growing, plus other duties as assigned. What Makes You Great Have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English. Have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A CDL. Be 21 years or older. Have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire. Do not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years. No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years. Be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate. Have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
