Technical Designer - Treehouse

Building with Perspective - Treehouse Fabrication & Scenic is a seasoned team of craftsmen and craftswomen who transform impressive visions into tangible realities, delivering custom-fabricated environments for both brands and agencies. Summary of Position Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production. Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. Produce shop drawings and illustrative diagrams as needed. Job Responsibilities Work with the project management team to convert project briefs into designs. Modify existing client designs to be practical and functional. Create build drawings. Create CNC files. Work with third‑party engineering firms to obtain engineering wet stamps. Work with building and safety to obtain necessary permits. Perform site surveys. Read and interpret plans, specs, schedules and other construction documents. Qualifications Software : proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino. Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator & SketchUp is a plus. Time Management : collaborating with project managers, builders & vendors on multiple projects. Analytical Skills : solving problems and making decisions that affect the project on a regular basis. Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Possesses detailed knowledge of material tolerances & build/assembly approach. Works well with a team. Possesses solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time. Location This is an in‑person role based in Los Angeles. Candidates must be available to work on‑site, with occasional weekend hours required depending on business needs and event schedules. Treehouse intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities.
