Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive health care network in Central New York and major teaching affiliate of ColumbiaUniversity, is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to provide patient care for our Division of Plastic Surgery.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. More than 500 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient centered care.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of six full time physicians, and three Advanced Practice Clinicians
• Responsibilities include both independent and collaborative clinics, inpatient rounding and consultation, and assisting in the OR.
• Optional surgical call with $20K stipend
• State of the Art OR s with one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System
• Some travel to outreach sites
• Full-spectrum case mix and diverse patient population
• EMR-EPIC

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus up to $50,000

Job Qualifications

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner
• NYS Licensure
• BLS Certification Required
• Previous experience in surgery preferred but not required
• DEA Required
• Individual must be motivated to tackle new challenges, and able to work independently
