Universal Banker

The Universal Banker will be responsible for both Customer Service, Account opening and Teller duties. This position will include participating in the daily operations of the branch, assisting clients with account management, and providing timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and thorough handling of all monies assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Nurture and retain customer relationships by delivering a courteous welcome and accurate timely customer service. Cash checks, make deposits and process loan payments received by customers in person, or by mail. Verify cash and endorsements, initiate account transfers, issue cashier checks, and review and confirm transfers, in accordance with bank policies.
- Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues to ensure customer satisfaction, while providing a high level of customer service.
- Support the day-to-day branch operations, including cash vault balancing, reporting, and tracking.
- Comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer information confidential.
- Work closely with multiple departments to facilitate client resolutions.
- Answer branch phones.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with federal, state and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience & Cash handling, teller or retail banking experience.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, and the ability to be pro-active.
- General knowledge of bank products and services.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
Location: Esquire Bank, Jericho, NY (On-site)
Full time – M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Estimated Salary Range:
- $50,000 - $65,000 / year
- Compensation may vary based on education, skills, qualifications and/or expertise.
