Animal Care Specialist

Overview We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, and outgoing individuals to join our team at a local Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility in West Austin (78730). Please verify the location is a reasonable commute before applying. We are seeking individuals to fill both part-time and full-time positions. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on training and experience caring for dogs and exploring the Animal Care industry more broadly. Our Animal Care Training program allows for dedicated, hard-working employees to learn and grow at their pace with a strong staff support system. Experience with dogs and/or customer care is preferred but not required. However, applicants must be passionate about dogs and be a great team player interested in gaining skills and growing. You would be working directly with the dogs, and attention to detail and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment is key. Making each pup feel important is essential! Responsibilities Taking dogs in and out using specific techniques (which will be learned through training) Monitoring playgroups for long periods outdoors Participating in both virtual and hands-on training sessions LOTS of cleaning, including scooping dog waste Using learned techniques to ensure each individual dog is happy and comfortable Requirements Passion for working with dogs Customer Service Experience a plus, but interest and enthusiasm a must!
