Shift: Nights – 3×12 Hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)

Job Summary

Join a nationally recognized 407-bed acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK. We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit utilizing Epic EMR . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment caring for mothers and newborns while supporting complex obstetric cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and cesarean sections.
• Circulate and recover C-sections while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives.
• Perform newborn assessments, neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and postpartum education.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic .

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN License (required for Auto Offer; pending license accepted for screening)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP required
• Charge Nurse experience preferred (or willingness to train)
• First-time travelers accepted
