In collaboration with staff radiologists, you will assess patients and safely perform routine CT procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols. You will also serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. Hours Standard full‑time hours with flexibility as required by patient volume. Bonuses Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $20,000 available to eligible candidates. Referral Bonus: Up to $5,000 available to eligible employees. Education Required: Completion of a formal training program; Radiologic Technology program in an AMA‑approved school. Work Experience Required: None. Preferred: 2 years experience as a CT Technologist. Certifications Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Advanced certification in Computed Tomography Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Preferred: Advanced level certification in Computed Tomography Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information; proficient with Windows‑style applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language required. Job Duties Verify physician orders and procedure to assure accuracy. Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care. Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding. Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures according to protocol, including placement of IV. Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met. Perform timely quality‑control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards, and notify/remediate as warranted. Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.). Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, tailoring communication, and requesting permissions as appropriate. Other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands The position requires medium work; occasional lifting of 20–50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10–25 pounds. Duties may involve moving objects, using mechanical lifting devices, traveling between facilities, and potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and communicable diseases.
