A Substitute Paraprofessional, also known as a Substitute Teacher Assistant, plays a crucial role in educational settings. Here are the key duties and qualifications for this position:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding the daily schedule: Substitute paraprofessionals familiarize themselves with the daily routine and tasks that need completion.
- Individualized instruction: Providing extra assistance and instruction to individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons.
- Behavior intervention: When students exhibit problem behaviors, substitute paraprofessionals intervene and model good behavior for the entire class.

- Supporting therapists: In school settings, they aid therapists who work with students.
