Job Description Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

**New Bluffton Location** New Pediatric Afterhours Clinic Opening Dec 1st **

We are excited to share that our team is relocating from the 2nd floor of Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) to the new multispecialty clinic at 700 Buckwalter Towne Blvd, 2nd Floor, Bluffton, SC 29910 . This modern facility will house multiple clinics and specialties, offering expanded space, updated exam rooms, and improved workflows to enhance both patient care and team collaboration.

Hours:

• Two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
• Example schedule: Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Wednesday: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating holidays required.

Minimum Education and Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program with six months of patient care experience required. Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card. Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability and motivation to articulate and support departmental philosophy of excellent guest relations. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be computer literate. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
