Candidates must agree to shared housing terms (no guests, no pets, personal vehicle required). \n Job Summary & Clinical Scope \n Martha’s Vineyard Hospital in Oak Bluffs, MA is seeking an experienced, autonomous ICU Registered Nurse for an extended contract in Critical Care ICU . Operating in a remote island hospital environment, the ICU RN will manage high-acuity, critically ill medical-surgical patients requiring invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, complex pharmacological support, and potential critical care transport stabilization. \n \n Critical Patient Assessment & Interventions: Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients experiencing hemodynamic instability, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, or acute sepsis. \n Hemodynamic & Airway Management: Titrate complex vasoactive, sedative, and paralytic IV infusions; manage invasive lines (A-lines, CVCs); manage endotracheal tubes and mechanical ventilator parameters. \n Rapid Response & Stabilization: Lead acute resuscitation efforts, execute ACLS protocols during codes, and stabilize critical patients awaiting transfer to tertiary medical centers when necessary. \n Interdisciplinary Care: Collaborate directly with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and emergency teams to execute comprehensive critical care plans. \n \n \n Order ID: MGB-30118 About First Connect Health\n \n At First Connect Health , we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency , headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
