Classical Hematologist | Assistant/Associate/Professor Location: LA, USA Job Type: Faculty – Patient Care – Research Salary: $300,000 or above The Assistant/Associate/Professor; Classical Hematologist position will focus on non‑malignant hematology including hemostasis, thrombosis, platelet and red cell disorders. The program is supported by state‑of‑the‑art facilities and offers an exceptional opportunity for accelerated upward promotion within an academic medical center/cancer center, with a dedicated team and diverse patient population. Position Summary The Department of Medicine is seeking a Hematologist for non‑malignant hematology. The successful candidate will participate in multidisciplinary activities for bleeding and clotting disorders with a large federally funded hemophilia treatment center. This position is ideal for individuals with excellence in clinical care and training as a clinician‑researcher, with the ability to participate in clinical, educational, and research missions as directed by the center and responsible for training Hem/Onc residents and medical students. Key Responsibilities Focus on non‑malignant hematological conditions including hemostasis, thrombosis, platelet and red cell disorders. Clinical Care: Provide exceptional patient care in Hematology. Research & Clinical Trials: Develop and lead investigator‑initiated and collaborative clinical trials supported by the Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance: Ensure adherence to FACT Standards, FDA regulations, and other relevant policies. Education & Mentorship: Train and mentor fellows, residents, and medical/graduate students in hematology. Institutional Collaboration: Engage with the leadership and the broader university community. Qualifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalent. Eligible for a medical license. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board eligible/certified in Hematology.
