2nd Shift Production Lead

Production LeadOur client in Mentor OH is seeking an experienced Production Lead to oversee 2nd shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership or supervisory experience along with a strong background in fabrication and production processes. This role is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and promoting a safe and productive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support production employees during assigned shift.Coordinate workflow and prioritize production schedules to meet customer demands.Monitor quality, efficiency, and productivity throughout the manufacturing process.Train, coach, and assist team members with daily operations.Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with management regarding operational concerns.Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.Assist with fabrication processes, equipment operation, and production setup as needed.Maintain accurate production records and shift reports.QualificationsPrevious Production Lead, Supervisor, or Team Lead experience in manufacturing required.Fabrication experience strongly preferred.Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing documentation.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical job duties throughout the shift.Desired SkillsLeadership and team developmentFabrication and manufacturing processesProduction schedulingQuality controlSafety complianceContinuous improvement mindset
