Quality Assurance Lab Technician

Administrative Support For Laboratory And Quality AssuranceProvide support as an administrative resource to the laboratory and quality assurance departments. Provide assistance in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of food safety and quality programs and records.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesComplete batch record review of various products and data entry into management software systemDisposition products (assign/change status) in management software systems as assignedReview, organize, and file production recordsPerform and/or assist with root cause analysisMaintain company and customer required spreadsheets, records, and reports and communicate with customers as neededPrepare and organize records as requested for internal and external auditsObtain and/or issue certificates of analysis as neededSupport and assist in the writing, reviewing, updating, and training of all documentation elements of the Quality Management System and related softwareEducate and train employees on food safety and quality topics per corporate guidelinesMay complete quality walkthroughs of the facility to ensure necessary corrective actions are completed; may participate in regulatory and customer inspectionsAdhere to all DFA Quality and Safety policies and procedures and report any nonconformitiesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE· High school diploma or equivalent· Post-secondary education related to food science, biological science, or related sciences preferred· 1 to 3 years of quality systems, food safety, production, or related experience in a food manufacturing environment· Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment such as SQF, HACCP and PCQI certificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES· Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems· Able to prepare technical reports and procedures· Able to keep good records (record keeping skill)· Able to prioritize tasks and work independently· Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail· Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing· Must be able to read, write and speak EnglishAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
