Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer X Ray Detection Technician in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment and access control procedures to help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, support customer service needs, and report security-related concerns. Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
- Inspect packages, belongings, and/or shipments as directed, escalating prohibited items, irregularities, or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
