Certified Nursing Assistant - Full Time Nights

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, with five shifts of 7.5 hours each. Weekend and holiday work is required.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential support to residents by catering to their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in their individual care plans. This position requires maintaining a safe and comfortable environment while ensuring cleanliness and the safety of the residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADL needs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the resident's environment, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Ensure nutritional needs are met according to care plans, including meal delivery and feeding assistance.
• Participate in rehabilitative care efforts, including range of motion activities, ambulation, and transfers.
• Report any changes in resident's physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Comply with policies and procedures regarding potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess a valid New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from AHA or RQI.
• One year of previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or as a CNA.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
