Carbon Health is looking for a Full-Time Center Medical Director (CMD) to join our urgent care team. This role offers the opportunity to remain clinically engaged while leading and developing a team of clinicians and helping shape the future of urgent care community. As a Center Medical Director, you will partner closely with the Center Manager and Area Medical Director to build a high-performing, collaborative clinical team while maintaining a strong focus on patient care, quality, safety, and patient experience. $139,000 - $201,320 annually including leadership stipend and productivity bonus Leadership stipend Productivity incentives up to 28% 6.1% weekend and holiday differential Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off Paid sick leave Paid parental leave Disability benefits 401(k) with a 2% employer match Learning and professional development opportunities Compensation offers are based on factors including education, experience, work history, and geographic location. Stay Clinically Engaged Approximately 30 hours per week of direct patient care , allowing you to continue practicing medicine while developing your leadership skills and supporting your clinical team. Mentor providers, support clinical development, participate in hiring and onboarding, provide meaningful feedback, and help create an environment where clinicians feel supported, empowered, and accountable. Have Meaningful Leadership Support You'll work closely with a Clinic Manager and Area Medical Director , with support around operations, staffing, clinician development, quality improvement, and escalation management. Make an Impact Help build a strong clinical team while expanding access to high-quality urgent care for patients throughout the Urgent Care community. What You'll Do Clinical Care Provide evidence-based, compassionate urgent care to patients 6 months and up Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions appropriate for an urgent care setting. Maintain high standards of clinical quality, safety, and patient experience. Support and promote evidence-based clinical practices across the team. Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and special projects. Clinical Leadership Serve as the clinical leader for your assigned urgent care center. Mentor, coach, and develop clinicians to support their clinical growth and success. Participate in clinician interviews, onboarding, and ongoing development. Conduct regular chart reviews and clinical performance evaluations. Identify educational opportunities and facilitate a culture of continuous learning. Address clinical concerns and patient or staff complaints involving the clinical team. Lead regular clinical team meetings and foster open, respectful communication. Partner with clinicians and operational leaders to identify and resolve barriers to high-quality care. Promote a culture focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Clinic & Operational Partnership Partner with the Center Manager to maintain a safe, efficient, and collaborative clinic environment. Collaborate with operational and medical leadership on staffing, scheduling, patient access, and clinic performance. Use clinical and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement. Support strategies that improve patient access, quality, efficiency, and patient experience. Participate in community and market initiatives that support clinic growth and engagement. About You We're looking for a clinician who is passionate about patient care and excited about developing people and building strong teams. Qualifications Physician Assistant: Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PA program and current national certification. Nurse Practitioner: Current RN and NP licensure and national certification. Minimum 2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar clinical setting . Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a healthcare setting . Active and unrestricted California medical license. BLS certification. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate effectively across clinical and operational teams. Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and a positive patient experience. Additional Requirements DOT certification must be obtained prior to your start date .
