Engineering Inspection Technician

Provides inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, processing procedures and adequacy of the facility to ensure quality of manufactured product by use of CMMs, SmartScopes and other applicable measurement equipment. Provides required dimensional results for completion of PPAP process for new tooling. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform first article inspections/layouts meeting PPAP and SCR requirements to validate new tooling and tooling modifications. Program Optical Inspection Equipment (Micro-Vu, SmartScope) and CMM’s (PCDMIS) Create detailed work instruction for inspectors to measure critical dimensions during production. Perform capability studies for IQ/OQ/PQ requirements. This job description indicates the general nature and level of work, duties and responsibilities expected of the incumbent.
