Overview Job Title: Heat Treat Supervisor Job Location: MNP Heat Treat, Redford, Michigan Job Schedule: Mon – Fri; weekends or evenings as needed on call Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all heat treat operations, including tempering, quenching, and hardening of fasteners. Ensure all heat treat processes comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and ISO requirements. Lead, train, and support a team of heat treat operators and technicians to maintain optimal performance and safety. Monitor equipment and process parameters to ensure efficient, consistent, and safe operations. Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and production teams to address non-conformities and optimize workflow. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, including control logs, inspection records, and maintenance reports. Schedule and prioritize workloads to meet production deadlines without compromising quality. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to process control, productivity, and cost-efficiency. Enforce compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Qualifications Able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as needed throughout the day. Able to communicate clearly and effectively. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in heat treating, preferably in the fasteners or metal finishing industry. Working knowledge of plating and coating processes is a plus. High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in metallurgy, manufacturing, or related field preferred. Excellent managerial and leadership skills; able to mentor and develop others. Excellent communication skills including oral and written; strong listening skills. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Ability to relate to all types of people, demonstrate trust and integrity. Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment. Able to pass a pre-employment, post-offer physical, and drug screen. Able to pass a background check. Benefits and Other Information Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
