Specialty Lines Underwriter Lead

Responsible for underwriting corporate property programs focusing on large and complex commercial and specialty lines, including energy clients. Develops and determines terms and conditions applicable and considers risk-sharing acceptances. Partners with leadership to oversee portfolios to ensure profitability. Responsible for account underwriting, presentation, sales and revenue growth for assigned clients primarily in the renewable and conventional energy segment. Acts as a training mentor for team members and works with Underwriting, Business Development, Operations, and Engineering. Responsible for clients with highly complex risks.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or Finance or equivalent work experience10+ years relevant experience, preferably on an Underwriting team5+ years casualty and/or property underwriting experience, preferably within the large property spaceExperience with single carrier and shared & layered business3+ years broker relationship energy experienceP&C, Mechanical or Facilities Engineering experience is a plusCPCU, ARM, ARe or other industry designations are a plusKnowledge and SkillsExcellent underwriting, marketing and analytical skillsStrong knowledge of energy all-risk underwriting.
