Ready to be part of something special? Join our family! The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting the plant and employees to help achieve operational goals, reporting to the Senior HRBP. This includes effective consultation regarding employee and labor relations, performance management, recruitment, talent development, culture and engagement, compliance, leave management, and other HR-related activities. Essential Duties Support employee and labor relations, performance management, and policy interpretation activities. Foster a positive work environment, champion employee engagement activities, and provide day‑to‑day coaching to plant personnel. Manage the internal and external recruitment and employment process for bargaining unit and hourly positions. Support and administer leave management processes, including interactions with vendors and employees. Collaborate with training, payroll and benefits, EHS, and management for successful onboarding of employees. Provide data and reports to HR and plant leadership to support data‑driven decision making. Actively engage in HR departmental projects and process improvements. Complete or assist in responding to unemployment claims, civil rights/EEOC claims, and other required reporting. Maintain HR‑related records ensuring confidentiality and limited access according to procedure. Back up payroll processes. Promote a safe work culture and support/backup in addressing safety and health incidents. Ensure legal compliance with all federal and state regulations applicable to the human resources area. Monitor HR processes for compliance, post notices, maintain records, investigate and resolve employee complaints, and recommend changes necessary to achieve compliance. Assist with other activities and programs, such as employee recognition, company events, etc. Perform other assigned duties. Experience and Education Minimum 3–5 years of related experience. Bachelor’s Degree. Qualifications Preferred certifications: SHRM‑CP or PHR; HRIS experience, preferably Workday; labor relations knowledge. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, SharePoint, and an HRIS system. Experience in a manufacturing or food and beverage environment preferred. Knowledge of human resources systems, policies, and practices. Knowledge of labor relations and contract interpretation. Ability to present to groups, including employees and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data, technical procedures, insurance language and standards, or governmental regulations. Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, policies, and procedures. Mathematical and statistical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, graph and chart development. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Organizational skills and ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Organizational Relationships & Supervisory Responsibility Peer group of HR, training, and payroll professionals. Collaborates with management, supervision, and employees. Interacts with non‑company contacts and resources. Individual contributor – no supervisory responsibility and no direct budget responsibility.
