Dental Assistant (2 Vacancies) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (RSDM) is seeking a Dental Assistant within the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Position Details Department: Restorative Dentistry – Prosthodontics Postgraduate Program. FLSA: Nonexempt Grade: 165 Salary Range: $24.830 - $26.090 per hour (subject to qualifications and funding) Position Status: Full Time Hours: 35 per week Shift: Day Work Arrangement: Fully on‑site Union: Teamsters 97 Term: 12 months Responsibilities Takes, develops and mounts x-rays; maintains x-ray solutions and developer with x-ray cleaning log. Charts examinations under the direction of the physician. Assists in implant procedures and maintains inventory of implant components. Serves as backup sterilization assistant, cleans ultrasonic units as needed. Prepares clinical kits for students. Cleans up all discharged bodily fluid immediately. Prepares the unit for provider and patient. Sets and drapes the patient to prepare for treatment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Certificate of Dental Assistant and Radiology Licensure. Primary Source Verification: Dental Assisting National Board.
