Datacenter Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Top 3 Required Skills Basic troubleshooting skills – servers, various cables/connectors, networking, and cooling systems Basic Linux command-line experience Excellent communication skills with strong technical aptitude Required Qualifications 0-2 years of experience working in a data center environment Hands‑on experience with various cable types and connectors Understanding of basic safety and security protocols within a data center Role Responsibilities Troubleshoot server issues and identify root causes Order, install, and replace server components; return defective parts to vendors Update and maintain server firmware Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers Support network administrators with server‑related tasks, including: Replacing broken or damaged cables Re‑routing cables to different server or switch ports Replacing optics on server and switch ports Upgrading and installing server hardware components Rack, stack, cable, and temporarily deploy servers or switches for remote configuration Respond to network administrator requests for hands‑on server and switch support Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short‑term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
