Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams, coordinating with medical staff, physician offices, and patients.
• Prepare patients for exams by following identification processes, providing education on procedures, and assisting with transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with established protocols, ensuring appropriate use of equipment, patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
• Document exam results accurately and ensure appropriate charging for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas; coordinate repair and supply needs through appropriate channels.
• Participate in educational opportunities to maintain clinical competence and provide education to staff, fellows, and students as appropriate.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography, or ARDMS or CCI certification in vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Successfully completed at least one vascular or echo registry (adult, pediatric, or fetal) pertinent to the department, beyond physics.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
