Therapist, Dialectical Behavioral (DBT)

Full-time Description. We have an exciting opportunity for a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT) to join our team of talented professionals. We have a market-based compensation structure. The estimated salary for this position will vary based on a candidate's transferable work experience and qualifications. Salary ranges start at $27.22/hour. The range provided is just one component of total compensation including a comprehensive benefit package of affordable medical plans, employer paid dental, vision and long-term disability, 401(K), flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent, paid time off, 11 paid holidays. Responsibilities Maintaining a caseload consisting of clients with primary diagnosis of substance abuse/chemical dependence and/or mental health. Conduct intake assessments, maintain the case record in a timely fashion, complete authorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required, and conduct appropriate individual and group psychotherapy. Regular working hours for staff are Monday through Thursday 8:30am – 9:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30am- 5pm but evening hours will be required and determined based on program needs. On call hours after 5:00 pm for the DBT program clients, as well, 7 days a week. Requirements Candidates must have a Masters in Social Work or related field from an accredited program and the corresponding State of Michigan Licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, Ph.D/LP, LLPC, LPC). One year experience working with adult clients with substance abuse/chemical dependency and/or mental health diagnosis. Must also be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Professional provisional certification with full certification being obtained within 4 months of accepting the role. Must demonstrate completion of course work, fieldwork, or job experience which demonstrates competence in individual, family and group substance abuse chemical dependency treatment and mental health. Must be able to work as part of the DBT team for consultation meetings, groups and on call duties. Must also be able to work independently. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational and attention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data accurately and timely. Must have the ability interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Individual programs may have additional requirements. Additional requirements include: cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible. Candidate must be willing to attend, complete and become certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and maintain the fidelity model.
