Job Overview Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a position in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Key Details Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/04/2026 Duration: 11 weeks (contract 13 weeks) Hours: 36 hours per week – 12‑hour day or night shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Employment Type: Travel Unit: 6 South – Post‑Op / Oncology / Telemetry Qualifications Active RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) required ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification preferred Telemetry experience with ability to read and interpret rhythm strips Heparin drip experience required Experience with chest tubes preferred; PleurX chest tube experience is a plus Valid, unexpired driver’s license (copy required) Must reside outside the 50‑mile radius rule Unit Highlights 36‑bed unit Typical nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 1:5–6 Patient population includes: General Med Surg Post‑Op General Surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy) Oncology complications Chest tube management Occasional 1:1 behavioral health patients Central telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors; RT manages CPAP and BiPAP Assignment Details 12‑hour day or night shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Every other weekend Holiday rotation with permanent staff Float to other Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed Royal blue scrubs required; no false nails permitted Benefits Weekly pay Holiday pay Guaranteed hours Continuing education 401(k) retirement plan Pet insurance Medical benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits License and certification reimbursement Life insurance Referral bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
