We are looking for a (2nd shift) Maintenance Mechanic Lead to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 60 years and we look forward to having you join our team! Please note, this is a full-time, 2nd shift position (3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday - Friday). General Summary Responsible for maintenance and daily operations of casting machines, process parameters, sampling, process development and casting quality, as well being a liaison between shifts. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on die casting machines as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic components, including hydraulic pumps, hydraulic and air cylinders, solenoid valves, accumulators, pump motors, oil systems, and filtration equipment. Implement standardized maintenance procedures, documentation, and best practices to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure consistency of repairs across all production equipment. Diagnose equipment performance issues and perform repairs to maximize machine uptime and production efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment up to 480V Communicate equipment status, repairs, and priorities effectively between shifts Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Assist in the general housekeeping of department Requirements Previous maintenance experience Salary: $29.00/hr.
