(CNA) Sr. Nursing Aide - Per Diem - Med/Onc PCU - 140857

Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. Cross trains to the role of hospital unit secretary.

This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including: training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active California CNA license.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2+) or more years of CNA experience in an acute care setting.
• Previous video monitoring experience.
• Experience with Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual: Spanish/English.

Annual Full Pay Range: $69,363 - $69,363 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $33.22 - $33.22
