More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day.A Brief Overview The Monitor Technician/Clinical Secretary continually monitors cardiac rhythms on a specific unit, identifies and interprets changes in rhythms and acts appropriately. Performs clerical duties on a nursing unit, answers the telephone, relays messages, and acts as a receptionist receiving and directing visitors and ambulatory patients.What You Will DoTelephone and patient call bells are answered in a prompt & appropriate manner, redirects calls and patient requests promptly to appropriate staffUtilizes Service Response Center in a timely mannerObtains/stocks/organizes office suppliesMaintains label book and logbook with updates daily with no more than (1) occurrences of noncomplianceVerifies with nurse on admission and every shift patient on telemetryEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma with the successful completion of Medical Terminology and Monitor Tech course with a passing score on the examination PreferredExperience QualificationsMT/Clerical experience PreferredSkills and AbilitiesWorks with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.Physical Demand Light Physical Demand The intent of this job description is to provide a representative and level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a contract for employment nor a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
