Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in related field required

Must have one of the following primary certification: NMTCB(CNMT) 

- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist ARRT(N) 

- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology 

Additional post-primary advanced certification preferred: ​ARRT(CT) 

- American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computed Tomography NMTCB(PET) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Positron Emission Tomography NMTCB(NCT) 

- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Nuclear Cardiology Technologist
