Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from ICU to general units, monitoring complex conditions and titrating critical drips. This role involves working night shifts in a 13-week assignment with potential extension, requiring flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the IMCU/Stepdown setting, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
• Perform IV starts, collect lab samples, and manage critical drip titrations with precision.
• Monitor patient vitals, assess ongoing needs, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Document care accurately in compliance with hospital protocols and policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Complete required modules through HealthStream prior to start date.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active nursing license with relevant state approval.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year recent ICU or critical care experience; 3+ years for CPU roles.
• Demonstrate proficiency with IV initiation, lab draws, and critical drip management.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Have travel experience and be willing to comply with travel policy guidelines.
