Authorization Specialist

Supporting the prior authorization process, the full-time Authorization Specialist will manage authorization requests, perform data entry, and assist the utilization management team while working remotely from New York. Key responsibilities Supports authorization requests for services in accordance with the insurance prior authorization list Performs data entry to maintain and update authorization requests in the utilization management system Assists the utilization management team with tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals according to policies and guidelines Required qualifications High School diploma or GED required Entry-level position with little or no previous experience needed Understanding of medical terminology and insurance preferred Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship Ability to work the schedule of Friday-Tuesday, 8:30am-5:00pm EST
