Material Handler (2nd Shift)

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Material Handler located in Dallas, Texas. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material Handler will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities. Shift : Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM What a typical day looks like: Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner. Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Stage received material and product in appropriate location. Create shipping and receiving receipts within system. Performs inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product does not meet quality standards. Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required. Stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier. Performs other related duties, as assigned. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: High School Diploma or equivalent At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or any related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented skills Solid organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system Crown Technical Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
