As a Lifeguard, you will: Ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining constant surveillance, continuously scanning the pool or water park area, and monitoring guests for signs of distress or unsafe behavior. Render emergency care and, if necessary, contact emergency medical services to ensure prompt and appropriate assistance for guests in need. Maintain the cleanliness of the pool and water park areas to create a pleasant and sanitary environment for the guests. Maintain detailed activity reports to document incidents, observations, and any actions taken during the shift. Attend scheduled in-service training to stay updated on the latest safety protocols and guidelines. Be a team player and assist your colleagues with their duties as required. Qualifications Lifeguard must be an expert swimmer, be in excellent physical condition, and able to react quickly in emergency situations. Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified and provide valid certifications. Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly. Will be required to enter the water, participate in regular in-water trainings and swim on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance. Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure. Westgate Resorts is a smoke and tobacco-free workplace.
