CNC MACHINIST

CNC MACHINIST Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an exceptional Machinist to create and produce metal parts for the repair of mechanical and other equipment. Primary Objective Creates and produces metal parts for the repair of mechanical and other equipment. Major Function and Scope Operate manual milling, lathe or other machinery according to blueprint specifications. Experience welding (Stick, Tig, Mig) preferred. Follow standard operating and safety procedures. Keep supervisor informed of work in progress and any problem areas. Keep work area safe, clean, and organized. Perform other related duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Required Knowledge of common metal properties. 2 or more years of industrial machinist experience. Good oral and written communication skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Good math skills. Knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets. Ability to read and write in English. Must be able to differentiate between various colors. Ability to apply quality audit procedures and defect analysis in ceramic tile. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong leadership and team building skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to use machinist tools and other precision instruments. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Physical Requirements The associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sit, climb, or balance; talk or hear; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock or vibration, fumes or airborne particles, a wide range of temperatures, and loud noise level.
