Role Description This is a part‑time, on‑site Cath Lab RN role based in Frisco, TX. The Cath Lab RN will provide direct nursing care before, during, and after vascular and endovascular procedures, including patient assessment, preparation, monitoring, and recovery. Daily responsibilities include administering medications, circulating and/or scrubbing in the procedure room, operating and troubleshooting monitoring equipment, and supporting safe use of contrast and radiation. The nurse will coordinate with physicians, technologists, and other team members to ensure timely, evidence‑based care and accurate documentation in the medical record. Additional duties include patient and family education, participation in quality and safety initiatives, adherence to infection control and regulatory standards, and contribution to workflow improvement in the outpatient setting. Qualifications Strong foundation in Nursing with current RN license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain), and demonstrated experience in acute or procedural care settings. Clinical expertise in Cardiac Nursing and Cardiology sufficient to care for patients with complex cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions. Hands‑on experience in Cath Lab and Cardiac Cath environments, including monitoring, circulating, and assisting with interventional or diagnostic procedures. Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, IV medication administration, moderate sedation, and emergency response (including current BLS and ACLS certifications). Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced procedural setting. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with physicians, technologists, and support staff in an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to patient‑centered care, safety, infection control, and quality improvement in an outpatient environment.
