Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/PCU unit serving a primarily cardiac and geriatric population
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, MI, open heart surgery, Watchman procedures, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacemaker placement
• Operate unit equipment including pacers and arterial lines (A-lines)
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Maintain an RN patient ratio of 1:5; float to 1:1 assignments as unit needs require
• Work every other weekend based on unit staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact license eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Cardiac Cath experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Telemetry, or cardiac setting
• Proficiency with EPIC EHR
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
• All Pennsylvania state clearances must be completed prior to start, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PA State Police (PATCH) clearance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac monitoring, pacemakers, and arterial lines
• Familiarity with post-operative cardiac patient care including TAVR and Watchman procedures
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to varying unit staffing needs
