What You'll Do:

• Deliver Critical Respiratory Care: Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, CPAP/BiPAP, and airway management for acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct Diagnostic Testing: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests, and pulse oximetry.
• Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans.
• Educate and Support Patients & Families: Provide instruction on respiratory equipment use, home care strategies, and disease management for conditions like asthma and COPD.
• Ensure Accuracy & Safety: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with hospital standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
• NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification required
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred)
• New graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills
• Knowledge of current respiratory care protocols and safety standards
